Paul,

Discovered your website, all about the meadows, imagine my surprise to find a photo of myself & my sister! they must have put 2 classes together back then as she is 20 months younger than I am. We moved from 10 Martha Terrace Goodhead st, to Sydney Australia in 1965 when I was 11. we still live in Sydney. My Grandmother lived at 1 pegg terrace, goodhead st, & my cousins Kevin, Keith, & David Copson lived on Hawthorne Street. I know the teachers name was Miss Brown she was the first teacher I had, as I was born in January 1954 & the school year started in August or September, I think I was 6 when that photo was taken? O,K, starting with the top row, I'm number 6 from the left, Lesley Burton, 4th from the right the girl who looks like she's got a beatle haircut! Second row, the girl on the far right, was my best friend at the time Christine Guy. same row 6th from the right with glasses & wearing a tie was Malcolm Toobey. Bottom row 3rd from the left is my sister Laraine Burton, we're both wearing similar dresses.I recall some of the other faces but can't remember any of their name. So if you have any information I would love to hear from you. Regards, Lesley.

This photograph was sent in by my mum's friend, Pat Corden (now Page) who lives in Yorktown Virginia USA. Pictured left to right:  June Allsopp, Julia Smith, Barbara Corthorn, Joan Kent, Brenda Banks. Front Row: Christine Taylor, Pasty Priestley, and Pat Corden. The photograph was taken in the school hall at Bosworth Road as the girls prepared to dance as part of a display for Princess Elizabeth on the Forest Recreation Ground on July 28th 1949 to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Nottingham's charter.
